Hi,
I've seen this problem in a number of the posts and have
not seen a response that works so far. Here's my
situation...
I have a client that is using Xp Pro (upgrade from 2K)
with office OfficeXP.
1)When she accesses her Clipart through the organizer or
through word etc. Thumbnails images appear for the
clipart localy on her hard drive. However, the web
clipart appears as a text document thumbnail with the
title 'dglxasset.aspx'
2)Unlike other posts I've found I cannot right click on
the file and see the image under properties. It still
comes up as a text document with the above filename.
3) The microsoft Web clip art home page at
http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx
shows the thumbnails as broken links (as well as a number
of non-M$ web pages). Any attempt to download the
thumbnail to office gives me a 'page cannot be displayed'
error right after I agree to the EULA and click download.
4) I should also note that this occurs under all users
including Administrator
Things I've done to try to fix this...
1) remove and reinstall clipart in office
2) Empty temporary internet files/cookies/history
3) Lower IE security
4) Move the Clipart folder/DB to office10 (or something
like that I can't remember)
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I'd love to
hear it.
Cheers and Happy New Year!
