Office will not Save file when using the Save icon

Hello:
Strange thing here. I have some users that are working in
either Excel or Word that will update files then click the
save icon, close the file and the changes are not saved,
sometimes. It is random. It performs the save progress
bar and does not generate errors either.

It will always save when the user goes to File->Save.
