Office Wizards in MSO 2003?

B

bil

During MSO 2003 install I loaded templates and wizards and more templates and
wizards, but unlike MSO 97 and 2000, I can't find them from within the
applications. Only found the letter wizard in Word 2003. What happened to all
the preformatted faxes, pleadings, resumes, invoices, that could be accessed
from the "Open new document" on start menu in MSO 2000? Should I go back to
MSO 2000?
Thanks

Hi Bill,

In Word 2003 you can use File=>New and select the
'On my computer' choice from the Template section
of the Task Pane.

You can also use Add/Remove Programs in the Windows
Control Panel to add the now optional 'New Office Document'
icon to your Start menu by modifying the
Microosft Office 2003 choice there.

As is the case with clipart, fewer 'Wizards' ship with
Office 2003 than with older versions (for example the
Word Web Page Wizard is gone). In some cases its because
of the connection with MS's Office Online Template gallery
through the Taskpane, in others, because there may have been
security flaws in the older wizards, or that they're outdated
as far as running under the current structure of Office 2003
programs.

Thanks Bob,

I do no internet on the PC with MSO 2003. These "improvements" have cost
me time in productivity. I will be using MSO 2000.
