Office won't work after install

I tried to get this solved not too long ago but it got lost in the shuffle.
I have office 2007 enterprise edition installed on my computer. When I try to
run any of the programs associated with office, they will not load. the
diagnostic thing says everything is fine. Basically, when I try to open any
office program, I get the hourglass for about 2 seconds, then it goes away;
no splash screen, nothing.

It is not running in any form. If I startup my computer and select to run
safe mode as the administrator (not as my username; just plain administrator)
it will work. When loaded in safe mode under my username, which is an
administrator account, nothing will load.

I am running Windows XP with all current SPs and updates. I've also tried
the trial version download from MS, and the same thing occurs. Really hoping
someone can help me out, or offer some type of suggestion. Thanks

Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and click
on "Validate Office" to make sure you have a "genuine"
version of Microsoft Office 2007 installed.

Post back to this thread with the results.

Ok, my version is a real version. I have this same copy installed on my
laptop no problem. As for some further experimentation I created a new user
on my computer as an administrator and it works fine. Only it won't work on
my user that i've had since I bought this computer. I'd really like to avoid
having to completely remake a user and deal with custom settings. Obviously,
the problem here is not with word, but somehow with my user accounts and
something there in. Please remember I'm not running Vista, I have XP.
