%^&*%$ Office Word 2007

It never ceases to infuriate me how MS continues to screw up programs that
work just fine, changing names and formats for no other reason then they can
do it. Now that I have vented - Does anyone know how I can get my trial
version of Office 2007 to use the classic menus like in 2003. If I can't I'm
going to delete it and load my older version. Screwing up the names and
format of Vista was bad enough; I refuse to also have to learn an all new
Office Word 2007. Thanks for any help.

Well, you came to the right place... This is the Mac Word group:)

As far as 2007 goes, there is no built-in facility for classic menus &
toolbars because they just aren't there. Third party utilities are avilable
to construct a similar environment but I haven't used any of them so I can't
say how effective they are. You can find out more from a Win Word group at:

Quite a few have voiced similar opinions to the new UI, but it seems to grow
on most over time. You, too, may come to feel differently if you give it a
chance. Continuing with 2003 is certainly a viable preference, however.

To quote Elliott Roper, but to change the model numbers to non-Mac versions
of Word:

Word 2000 was such an improvement on its successors, wasn't it?

As to:
