Office X 10.1.2 necessry? using OSX 10.2.8

I recently had to restore everything on my drive which may have had to
do with 3 versions of MS word on my drive. I want to have the most
compatible MS office version foer OSX 10.2.8. Is it a problem to
continue with OS X or should I update?

Lila,

I just nuked my wife's hard drive and re-installed 10.2.8 and Office X,
including updates 10.1.2-10.1.5. Everything works fine!

Hi Lila,

As Steve says, Office X with all the updaters (10.1.2, 10.1.4, which
includes .3, and 10.1.5) is appropriate for OS X 10.2.8. There's no need
to update your OS except for the fact that Panther (OS X 10.3.x) apparently
makes everything go even better.
