Office X and Panther

Does anyone have any experience running Office X in Panther (OS
10.3.x)? Have there been any incompatibility issues you've come up
against? I haven't upgraded, yet, but want to make sure all my
current programs will run in it.

I use Office v.X (with the 10.1.5 update) all the time in Panther
(10.3.2), without any problems.

Most of the problems I've seen for others involve incorrectly set
permissions, corrupt fonts, etc.

One Panther feature that is not available in Office v.X is Panther Fax
using fill-ins from the system addressbook. There's a bit of a turf
issue (deciding whose fault it is - Apple or MS), but with any luck
that can be fixed.

I've been running Office X in Panther (10.3.2) for the last several months
and have not had a single problem. The only issue I have run across is that
some of the Excel XP spreadsheet macros don't run properly in Excel X.
Since these spreadsheets are somewhat specialized in nature, my guess is
that you should not have any problems unless you're trying to do something
out of the ordinary.
