Office X: didn't install updates prior to installing 10.5

I just installed Office X for the first time and went to the web site
to check for updates.
I downloaded and successfully installed 10.5 update.

I assumed that 10.5 was the accumulation of prior releases. Now I am
not sure wheter to delete the entire Office X install or just keep
things as is.

Any suggestions?

Open the Microsoft Office X folder, and then go to View -> List. If you
don't see the Version column, enable it (View -> Show View Options, check
Version). It should look like the screenshot on the page. Also, check the
version number for the Microsoft Component Plugin (in the Office subfolder).
If that's 10.1.5 as well, you're good to go. If not, download the latest
updates, starting with 10.1.2, then 10.1.4, and finally 10.1.5, and your
screen should look like the picture.
