Office X Entourage + smtp SSL

J

John Rushford

Greetings,

I use a pop/smtp server that has SSL/TLS capability. The server has an
X509 certificate signed by verisign but, I cannot get it to work with
Microsoft Entourage. Entourage gives me an error popup saying that it
requires a personal certificate whenever I set my advanced smtp
settings to use SSL in my account. I do not understand what is wrong,
Apple mail and Netscape mail work perfectly with this server when I set
my smtp settings to use SSL but Entourage is giving me this "needs
personal certificate error". Is there some way that I can get it to work
with the SSL mail server?

Please respond to my email if you can.

thanks
