Office X Mac Word - Unable to use alphabet to go quickly to font type from the drop-down box?

Hi,
I just installed Office X for Mac. I started using Word and I wanted
to change the font. So I used the drop-down font menu and type in "t".
Usually in Windows it scrolls immediately to font styles starting with
"t". To my dismay, it doesn't do that. I have to manually scroll down
& down to go the font I want.

Does anyone know if there's any update that I have to install in order
to get this feature? ( i don't even know what to call it)?

Thanks!
Mvo

Download and install the latest Office X updates, which are 10.1.2, 10.1.4,
and 10.1.5 (10.1.3 is unnecessary). They¹re available from Microsoft.

I should mention that you should use the "Formatting Palette". Go to View >
Formatting Palette to display it. Click the "Font" header to expand it, and
then click the triangle to the right of it. On my machine, that allows you
to type a font and have it be selected in the list. I don't remember
whether that's the case in Word X.

That only works for me in Word04.

Of course, one shouldn't be directly formatting, right? Fortunately, the
above technique also works in the Modify Style dialog.

Thanks to all that replied. For those reading the groups, in a
nutshell, the answer is there is no such feature in Word for Office X.
