Office X Test Drive removal AFTER install of Full version

I am helping out a friend who installed the full version of Office X on her
new iMac without realizing that there was a Test Drive Version of Office X
already installed, that should have been removed first. And now Test Drive
has expired and she is having some problems

From all I've read on this group the best way to go about getting rid of
Test Drive in this situation, is to run the "Remove Office" tool from the
Office X CD (to uninstall the test drive and full version, I assume), next
run the "Remove Test Drive" if necessary, and then reinstall the full
version of Office X. Fine..

But here is the question. I am concerned about loosing contacts, e-mail
settings, etc. during this process. She has been using the programs for a
while, so it would be a real pain to set everything up again. I guess I am
especially concerned about Entourage. Best I can tell, she has been using
the full version and not the Test drive version of Entourage, but I guess
you can understand my concern.

So what is the best way to make sure that her data won't be lost? Any help
is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

- Sven

Your data is not stored in the files that "Remove Office" deletes. Entourage
data is stored in the Microsoft User Data folder located in your User's
Document folder. You might loose some preferences.

"Remove Office" removes both preference files and custom templates, so you
should make a backup copy of the preferences and templates in another
location on the machine before running the removal tool.

See Files to Backup.

Be sure to have the CD key handy.

I was hoping that would be the case. Great.

Thanks also for the link to the Files to Backup. That should help a lot.
