I have Office X- is there a Microsoft equivalent- I am asking because I wish to do an Office course, in particular Excel- All the courses are geared towards Microsoft- but wondered if Microsoft Office CD Rom coursework would work in my Mac just the same- I do not want to pay for a course and find out it is not compatible- I have spoke to several Course advisers and no-one can help me.

Well, you are a little confused. I assume you mean a Macintosh equivalent.
Office is a Microsoft product. For Excel, you will find that most >90% of
most course work will be applicable to the Mac version. If you are looking
for a course, I suggest you take one and then will discover the differences.
You can get specific help here.
