office xp 2003 problem when shutting down computer

I have just installed office xp 2003 professional and it works alright. The
problem I am having is when I shut down my computer I get some error
messages saying something about not being able to write to memory (or
something like that). These messages are connected with my UPS (connected to
computer by COMM port 1) and my graphics tablet (connected to computer by
USB port).

Any help would be great.

Hi Nik,

Did you install Office XP or Office 2003. They are
separate editions.

What are the specific error messages. 'Something like
that' makes it a bit hard to followup.

You may want to also post in the Windows version newsgroup
for your PC on news://msnews.microsoft.com as it may
be a Windows driver issue.

The version I have got is office 2003.

It is hard to be precise as I get the message during shutdown.
