Office XP Access RunTime - Deployment with Group Policy

Graham Smith

We have deployed OfficeXP PRO and Standard through Admin
Install Points and Group Policy. Updates to SP3 have been
administered by updating the Install points and
redeploying. That all works OK.
We also deployed AccesRT (Access Run Time) via Group
Policy using the MSI and the CAB file. How do we update
the AccessRT to SP3...i.e. how do we update the CAB file
used by the AccessRT to make it SP3 or is there another
way.

Hi Graham,

See if the information in this article (which
also links back to the Office XP Resource Kit)
helps with the deployment of the separate
Access Runtime SP3 update:

Unfortunately that deals with just allowing the users to
update it. We have a managed installation and user's
cannot update themselves. Therefore we want a solution
that we can use by deploying using AD and GPO;s etc

Did you follow the link in the article to the Office XP Resource Kit
which includes information on using your Office admin
point and managed installations?
