office xp activation

Dennis

If I purchase office xp standard upgrade edition and activate it on my
desktop, is it possible to use the same copy on my laptop or will I have to
purchase another copy?

I'm using office 97 now and would like to upgrade, but from what I read
after 50 launches if there is no activation the program only allows gives
partial use.

Thanks
Dennis.

Retail versions of Office (except for the STE) allow for installation on a
desktop and a portable, used by the same person but not simultaneously. STE
is a one computer license. OEM licenses are tied to the machine on which it
is installed and cannot be transferred except with the machine.
