Office XP appllications crashing

Everytime I open outlook XP it crashes and says do i wish
to run it in safe mode, which then works ok, Word also
does the same thing. It has been removed, rebooted then
re-installed again and this hasnt solved the problem.
Any ideas folks??

PC Spec: P4 1.4
768Mb ram
Win XP Pro
