I have Office XP installed on Windows 2000 Pro (SP4), and whenever I save a
file (.doc or .txt) I have created back to the floppy, the machine hangs and
must be rebooted.
This is a recent occurence, and has been verified on serveral different
machines . I believe it to be related to a MS patch, because when I uninstall
the Rollup 1 patch that was recentley introduced, saving files works
properly. When I reinstall the Rollup 1 patch, the problem comes back.
Before this discovery, I deleted all temp files, and scanned for
viruses/spyware. Even uninstalled/reinstalled Office and the OS to no avail.
This problem does not happen when saving to the HD or when I use Notepad or
Wordpad to save files.
Anyone know about this bug?
Thanks,
