Hello,
I have a strange problem with an MST package I created for MS Office XP SP3
install. For some reason I can not get the install to read the MST package
entirely; it is only accepting 2/3 of the options set.
Scenario below:
I created the office xp MST file using Office XPs ORK tool. When I run the
local install, setup.exe TRANSFORMS=officexp.mst /qb-, on a Windows 2003
Server it is able to apply the options specified in the MST file (bascially
install all options but do not install Outlook & Office assistant, remove
office icon from startup folder, put office icons in the Start Menu\Microsoft
Office).
When I run the setup command over the network using a batch file the install
runs silently but for some reason it still install Outlook and the Office
Assistant but does manage to remove the office icon from the startup folder
and put the office icons in Start Menu\Microsoft Office.
I have tried creating a new MST file but the results are the same. What am
I missing? Thank you.
