Office XP "change in configuration"

J

Jinjagoliath

A message has started to appear that stops me using my
office products.
Sadly I can't insert a CD because the software was
installed as OEM from the store (and no disc supplied).
I don't understand why Office XP has suddenly started to
do this, and it means I can't us my applications!
HELP
This machine has Windows ME installed.

The full message is below.

-------------------------------
Change in machine configuration
Due to a significant change in your computer configuration
from when Microsoft Office was installed and activated,
some important information about you computer needs to be
restored, and the product needs to be reactivated to
continue to function properly.

In order to restore the information and continue using
Microsoft Office, insert the original Microsoft Office CD
and complete the reactivation steps as prompted on your
screen. If you don't perform the reactivation steps,
Microsoft Office will go into Reduced Functionality Mode.
In that mode you will not be able to to save modifications
to documents, or create a new document, and additional
functionality may be reduced.

Insert the Microsoft Office CD and click Next to continue.

Hi, Jinjagoliath,

You'll need to get a CD, or instructions for how to proceed, from your
store/original equipment manufacturer. They are responsible for supporting
the copies they install.
