Office XP Clipboard problems

C

Chris

I have Office XP and Windows 2000 on my machine.

Problem 1:
Every time I startup Word or Excel, an icon is pasted to
the Office clipboard. Is this normally what is supposed
to happen?

Problem 2:
I am running a hydraulic modeling program "Pipe2000" on my
computer. As soon as I startup the program, if I have an
office XP application open, (Word, Excel, Outlook)
multiple icons are pasted to the office clipboard. When I
use the program, more stuff is automatically pasted to the
clipboard until everything locks up. I think that too
much is being pasted to the clipboard (beyond its
capacity). Or maybe "Pipe2000" cannot clear the clipboard
when it reaches 24 items??

The clipboard is open 'cuz there are office apps open. If
I start up "Pipe2000" without any office xp apps open (ie
office clipboard is closed), everything works normally.

Help!

Nope. This is caused by an un-neighborly add-in using the Clipboard to
place their icon on a toolbar or menu item. What does the icon look
like?

This problem is caused by "Pipe2000" using the Clipboard for some type
of task. It sounds like it could be the cause of your first problem as
well. Do they have an add-in for the Office apps?

You may want to contact the developers of Pipe2000 and see if they
have made corrections to their product.
