Office XP developers edition to Office 12

Hopetrading

Can anyone tell me if there will be an upgrade route for developers currently
using the Run Time files for clients to move from XP to office 12 and will
there be the same facilities for distribution of Access apps.

If so does anyone know whether upgrading is going to add enough new
functionality to make it economically viable.

Hi Hope,

You may want to follow the postings on the MS Access team blog for Office 2007 (Office 12) available through
http://microsoft.com/office/preview for more information on what MS is presently saying about this topic.

Speaking of which ... Has anyone downloaded this video and gotten better
than 50kbps download speed ?
http://www.baychi.org/calendar/20051213/
It's a 500mb file and will take hours . I just downloaded Quicktime v7
while I'm waiting (needed to view the m4v file) and QT came down at
~550kbps so it's not me ...

re: the movie - useful video starts at ~8 minutes in - small talk for
first 7 minutes.
I tried viewing while downloading, but playback quickly catches up with
download speed.
For now I'll let it run and go to lunch ( maybe a long one )

Hi Bobb,

You may also want to watch the newer video on the User Interface for Office 2007 at the http://microsoft.com/office/preview site.
It doesn't take quite as long to load <g>.
