I have 1 user whos' Office XP crashes (encountered a problem.....message)
whenever he clicks on file, open in any office application.. The error
reporting message always mentions comctl32.dll. Event log messages are all
similar, this one from word:
Faulting application Winword.exe version 10.0.2627.0 faulting module
comctl32.dll version 5.81.3502.6601 fault address 0x000356de.
This problem has occurred since a crash of Powerpoint 1 week ago. Replacing
the dll file did not help, neither did an upgrade to the latest service
pack. Can anyone shed some light? Or am I back to reformat reinstall yet
again?
