office xp excel comas

hello

working with office xp profesional sp3 windows xp

after doing a office repair , and using excel the numeric pad changed
its "." point for "," comma. which makes all the dates invalids.
I tried changing the language of the keyboard and changing the local
settings but nothing works

If I use the numeric pad in an other application it works fine

can anybody help ?
It driving me crazy

Likely a long shot.

Try Excel, Tools, Options, International tab. Is the box to use system
separators checked?
