Office XP for student, pupils, teacher

Jens Wagner

Hello.
A friend donated me a MS Office XP for students, pupils, teacher version.
The problem is, i´m not anything of this. I aint go to school, i´m not a
student and i´m not a teacher. Is it legal to use this software? I´ve
visited the microsoft homepage, but i didn´t found anything about this kind
of situation. There´s only the guidline for buying the software, not for -
when someone give it away to me.
Thanks for your answers and sorry for my bad english

Greetings from Germany

No, it it not legal to use this software unless you qualify as a student,
teacher, or parent of a qualifying student or teacher.

I just want to make sure before I buy office for students and teachers xp
edition.
My son will be in the 12th grade this year at a public city school but
doesn't live with me.
He lives with his mother.
I would like to buy office for students... in case he has a project to work
on for school.
I would also like to use it also.
Now, is it okay to buy office for students and install it on my home
computer?
I think it is okay but I want to make sure because the software store will
not refund any software opened.
Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks
