My daughter purchased a new desktop HP PC to take to
college. The PC came with a 60 day trial version of
Office which can be upgraded to a previously purchased
version by entering the Product ID. However, attempts to
do this are unsuccessful with the Product ID from her
version of Office XP for Students & Teachers, 2002
version.
If she tries to use the Product IDfrom trial verson on
the new PC, it indicates the Product number is not valid
for the country chosen (US). The PC was purchased through
Best Buy in the US. We can't seem to get past the Product
ID screen of the wizard.
Any suggestions what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Brian
