Office XP freezing - file open - saving

We are running Windows XP SP1 with Office XP SP2 in our
corporate network. The network servers are Windows 2000
SP3 and SP2. On the few machines that were upgraded to
Windows XP with Office XP there is a a pause when trying
to use the File Open or Saving within the Office products.
This pause is not happening on the Windows 2000 Prof.
workstations that have not been upgraded. The users are
really starting to complain about this pause. I have not
been able to find any KB articles on this subject. I have
disabled the virus software and also tried removing all
mapped network drives and printers which did not help. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

I am getting the same thing here. We are running windows 2000 with xp professional and Office xp. When ever accessing the file/open option, it is pausing for 15 seconds or so and driving staff nuts.
