Office XP - HELP!

F

Francine

I seriously need some help! none of my Office XP
programs work properly. I cannot make changes to the
pages (File/Page Setup)...it freezes every single time
which results in an Ctrl+Alt+Del to end program. also,
when print preview is chosen, a print preview is not
shows, it either freezes or displays a blank page. in
addition, after closing page preview and when i'm back in
normal view, excel puts page breaks in after every single
cell. i work in an office and the same file works on
other computers here.
CAN ANYONE HELP. i've tried uninstalling and installing
Office, but same problems occur.
thanks, also, please post if you have any suggestions or
email me at (e-mail address removed).

THANKS!

Don't have enough infomation, but a hunch tells me you
might want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling your
printer driver.

When troubleshooting a problem, ask:

Did it EVER work?

If it did, what changed on your system from when it last
worked, to the first time it didn't?

Meanwhile, if you can't get Office to work, an
alternative is available at openoffice.org.

Hope that helps.

thanks. it did print before. it worked early yesteday
morning then it quit working in the afternoon. now, it
won't work properly at all. i haven't changed anything
from the time it worked from when it quit working. i am
unable to view a print preview, print, or change any page
settings. excel keeps putting in page breaks for each
cell (i.e. each cell is a page).

Hi Francine,

It sounds like a corrupt or incorrect printer driver. Try downloading
an updated driver from the manufacturer's web site and see if that
resolves the problem.
