I recently transferred all my data to a new hard drive
and when I booted up afterwards I noticed that all my
office files (ex. *.xls) showed a default icon instead
of the normal office product icon associated with a file
type. I figured that it was just a copy problem during
the hard drive transfer so I went to remove and
reinstall. But now I get some kind of 'The patch package
could not be opened. Verify that the patch package
exists and you can access it,or contact the application
vendor to verify that this a valid Windows Installer
patch package.'
