Office XP install OFFXP: Error 2928

I had space issues on the C: drive of a laptop and wanted
to move the install of Office from the C: drive to the E:
drive. I have run the remove option and un-installed it
and then tried to install it on the E:\Program
Files\Office directory. The setup goes 99% complete and
then fails with the following error "Error 2932
C:\winnt\installer\{91110409-6000-11d3-8cfe-0050048383c9}
\graph.ico 5" the install then removes itself.

I have Projet 2002 & Visio 2002 installed as well. Is
there a conflict with the remaining software?

I had Publisher 2002 installed (part of the same package)
I ran the separate remove for that as well.

Any ideas....
