Office XP install on Windows ME only Word?

Hello,
I installed Office XP Professional on a client's Windows ME client with
384mb of memory, 1.1Ghz proc and noticed after the install that only Word
was installed. Has anyone else run in to this before when they used to have
Windows ME? Does this go back to needing to enable Virtual memory?

Office XP requires Windows 2000 or later. It will not run (reliably) on a
9x kernel OS like ME.

Why would Microsoft's site post that it is compatible with Windows 98 or ME ?
