PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME????

My Office XP CD is corrupt or something. It won't go into
autoplay mode and I don't know which file to use to
install Office applications on my computer where do I do
there doesn't seem to be a setup exe file that will just
go into the setup proceedure. What do I do?

I REALLY need help from someone.

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE.

If there's no SETUP.EXE program on it, then it might indeed be that it's
corrupt. My Office XP CD does have that file, and that's the one you'd need
to use.

Unless AutoRun is turned off, when you insert a CD, it looks for:

AUTORUN.INF

This is a text file that tells AutoRun what to do. In this case it contains
the following:

[autorun]
OPEN=setup.exe /AUTORUN
ICON=setup.exe,1

shell\configure=&Configure...
shell\configure\command=setup.exe

shell\install=&Install...
shell\install\command=setup.exe

all of which ultimately tell Windows to run the setup.exe program.

You might have to call Microsoft to see about a replacement CD.
