Office XP OEM & SP1

My update says "unexpected version found" and closes. Can Office XP use SP1?

You can apply Office XP SP1 to Office XP, but you cannot apply Office 2003
SP1 to Office XP.

I used Office XP 2003 on a OEM version of Office XP Standard 2003.

There might be a bit of confusion here over Microsoft's version terminology.
There is no such thing as "Office XP 2003" or "Office XP Standard 2003". The
newest Office version is Office 2003. The previous Office version was Office
XP. Which one do you have?

I am using Office 2003 Standard OEM on the system that will not update. Two
other systems with Office 2003 Pro Full version upgraded OK.
