Office XP + Office 2000 on same PC

Hi

We have an installed base of Office 2000 Premium on Windows 2000. We need the Office Document Imaging viewer from Office XP to view contracts that Windows 2000 cannot display. We cannot change the installed base. Can we safely add this Office XP component ontop of Office 2000

This is a CRM production environment, so we need to be very cautious
