I used to have Win98 on my computer which was an upgrade to Win95. I also
had Office 95. I bought an Office XP upgrade and upgraded Office 95 to
Office XP, no problem. I later upgraded Win 98 to Win XP. I recently had to
re-format my hard drive and so I then installed the Win XP upgrade straight
onto the drive without having to install W95 or W98 first. Now I can't
install Office XP upgrade because Win XP says I don't have a compatible
component. Although Win 98 didn't care at the time if I was upgrading Office
95 to Office XP, Win XP does. I've lost my Win95 CD or I'd install Win95,
Office 95 and then upgrade everything from there.
Am I stuck having to buy a full version of Office XP?
