Office XP Pro Outlook

Pongado

I have a couple of problems and was hoping that someone might have advice.

First, after unstalling Office 2000 and then installing Office XP Pro, I
cannot import any addresses or emails that I wished to save. There is an
option for importing from Lotus, Outlook Express, etc., but not an option
for importing from a previous version of Outlook. Any suggestions?

Secondly, as I enter new addresses in the address book, I click on the 'file
as': <last name>,<first name>. It persists (and insists) on filing as
<first name><last name>. Is this a flaw or can I change it?

Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciate. Especially locating
and importing the emails from Outlook 2000.

Thanks.

To locate your prior mail, contacts, calendar items, etc. from Outlook 2000,
search your hard drive for a file with a .pst extension. Once you find it,
use File->Open->Outlook Data File. When you have it open in your active
Outlook, use drag and drop to move items into one .pst file. When you are
done, right click on the empty .pst file and select "close."

To rearrange the order of your address book, go to Tools->Email
accounts->Directories<->view or change->highlight your address book->change.
At the bottom is where you can rearrange the order.
