Office XP PRO- SP2

I am attempting to update office with service pack 2
however I receive a message to insert the original CD
after about it has halfway installed. I receive a message
stating that it cannot find PRO.MSI on the disk. I have
searched thru the disk and I am unable to find it. The
only file that is close is PRORET.MSI and when I attempt
to use that file I receive the message again saying that
it is not PRO.MSI. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in
advance.

Check your control panel->add/remove programs and see what office versions
you have there.

I have Windows XP Office version 10.0.3520.0 and I have
already installed SP1. In the Add/Remove programs I did
have 2 listings for Microsoft Office XP, both were the
same version however one was 223 MB and the other was 155
MB. I dont think that has anything to do with installing
SP2 though b/c the main problem I am incurring is the
install saying I need PRO.MSI and I cant find that on the
disk I have that came along with my notebook. The closest
thing I can find is PRORET.MSI. If you can give me any
other advice I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Sigh, what *versions* of Office XP show in Control Panel? Professional?
Standard? Small Business?

This has everything to do with installing SP-2. Incorrect or conflicting
versions can impede the installation. You may need another CD than the one
you are using. Please post this information and someone can help you.
