Hi,

Thank you for the comprehensive reply, but what if I buy the above and it is
old stock, the conditions etc for free upgrade to Office 2003 may not be
there and there is no way of finding that out beforehand.

How do I get the free download then?

Hi Jan,

For the technology guarantee to Office 2003 (the 'free'
upgrade), the Office XP(2002) purchase had to have been
accomplished between 15Aug2003 & 30Nov2003 and the upgrade coupon with
sales receipt needs to be postmarked by 31Dec2003.
The coupon is available here. The 'old stock' issue wouldn't
apply, but the conditions in the coupon will.
