office xp problems

I have three dell pc's that came with office xp pre-installed, within the
last 4 days all three pc's have developed the same problem, when trying to
start an office application a box appears telling me "Please wait while
Windows configures
Microsoft Office XP" and tehn tells me to "insert the Microsoft Office XP cd"
I then click cancel and I get this message "Error 1706. Set up cannot find
the required files. Check your connection to the required network or CD-ROM
drive. For other potential solutions to this problem see C:\Program
Files\Microsoft\Office\Office 10\1033\SETUP.HLP".
Why is this happening to all the pc's i have with office xp?

Did you insert the CD as asked? It may be trying to repair itself...Dell is
the one to ask...let me guess...it happened two days after Dell's warranty
expired?
