Office XP Professional Upgrade

D

D. Lewis

I just purchased Office XP Professional. The upgrade
option in the installation process wants to remove the
previous versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. I can
find no explicit statement that this process will not
also destroy my contact list, database, spreadsheet,
PowerPoint files as well. Also, I cannot find a way to
back up the contact list just in case. Anyone know what
this upgrade process actually does? How to back up the
contact list?

Thanks.

To back up all of your OUtlook data, see
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

As for the other files, it is always a good idea to backup your data before
any software changes. However, the installation does not overwrite or
delete any files.
