I installed a marine Keelcooler program on a friends Dell
Lap top and when I click on the shortcut to access it a
windows Installer window opens that says "The feature you
are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk
that is not available.
Insert the 'Microsoft Office XP Professional' disk and
click OK.
There is a drop down box with "Microsoft Office XP
Professional" in it and a browse button beside it. I can
hit the cancel button and the program will open. This is
ok, but now when I try to access any of the Office XP
programs the same window opens. Those program I cannot
access at all. A Problem with Shortcut window opens that
states "The installation source for this product is not
available. Verify that the source exists and that you can
access it."
The all programs (.exe) appear to exist in the Office10
folder and I started the programs from there, but another
window open saying "Microsoft (whatever program I'm trying
to access) has not been installed for the current user.
Prease run setup to install the application."
Office XP is an OEM with no disk on Win 2000 Pro OS. I
uninstalled the Keelcooler which did not help(do not know
if related or cause. Office has been activated and
registered correctly.
The Question is: Is there any Option other than
reinstalling Office from a disk?
Thanks RD004
