Office XP Professional

Mike Popernik

I have a Windows 2000 computer that has Office XP
Professional installed on it. The shortcut bar has
disappeared and I cannot find it. I have reinstalled the
software and still cannot find it.

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem.

Thanks for the help in advance.

What do you mean "short-cut bar"? the Toolbar in one of the
applications? Menu: View/Customize, Toolbar doesn't work?

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Sorry Mike, I don't know. I can only suggest that you look in Office's
help file for "short cut" and find the settings which turn it on and
off. I've looked in Office 2003 and can't find the setting. Doesn't
mean it's not there. I don't use it. Perhaps this something i chose
not to install. I don't remember.

Also, surely can get help via Google, or a book on Office XP.

Meantime, someone may provide answer here.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Go to Start\Programs(might be show all programs)\Microsoft Office Tools and select Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar. There should be a pop-up asking you if you would like to configure the shortcut to start with windows. If not you can click on the Windows Logo at the top/end of the Office short-cut bar and select customize. There should be an option in there to have it start every time windows starts. Hope this works for you.

If it's the office shortcut bar you're after & can't find it or is not installed you need to intsall it from the xp office disk. Do a custom install & select it as one of the options to install. Make sure it is ticked/selected
