Office XP Question

Chuck

I currently have Offixe XP small business edition.

I need to get Access, so I was going to get the Office XP
Professional upgrade. If I purchased the proffesional
version, I assume I will be able to install the Access
portion of the software (and Powerpoint) without affecting
any other Office features I have installed.
Am I correct in assuming this? And will the software
consider the current Office setup on my machine as
a "previous version" of office to allow the upgrade to
work?

btw, I need Access 2002, so the 2003 version does me no
good...

Thanks!

No. Office XP SBE is not a qualifying product for any other edition of
Office XP.
You recognize that you can use Office XP SBE to qualify for Office 2003
Professional.
Are you aware that with Access 2003:
Any database created in Access 2002 will remain Access 2002 until you
manually convert them to Access 2003 format.
Any database created in Access 2003 can be saved in Access 2002 format
without any unique Access 2003 features. Then the file will remain Access
2002 format until you change it manually.
