office xp reinstall problems after system recovery

I had to perform a system recovery on my HP Pavilion and
the biggest problem is that my office xp prof. with
frontpage has not been recovered. When I try to reinstall
with the cd the installation program begins, but half way
through my entering the key codes the installation
process stops and the screen disappears. Sometimes I can
enter almost half of the letters before this happens. Any

Here are the steps to fix the problem
It sounds like the HDD has bad sectors or blocks of data
please run the Chkdsk utility.
To do this:
Open my computer
Right-click on the C drive-Chose properties
Click Tools
Click Check now below Error checking
Click both boxes below to automatically fix errors
and scan for errors
Click start
Click yes to run at reboot
reboot computer
Please note: This will take about 30-60 minutes to run
