Office XP Repair Difficulty

I am trying to repair my installation of Office XP (I am
getting unidentified errors when I try to save in Word and
cannot open Frontpage templates - no error message
accompanies either problem). When I try to run the repair
utility in the add/remove programs utility, I get the
following messages:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource
that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a
folder containing the installation package 'PROPLUS.MSI'
in the box below.

Repeated attempts to locate 'PROPLUS.MSI' lead to the
following:

The file '' is not a valid installation package for the
product Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage.
Try to find the installation package 'PROPLUS.MSI' in a
folder from which you can install Microsoft Office XP
Professional with FrontPage.

The error message that sometimes comes up after that
directs me to read the 1033 help file, the directions of
which I have complied with to no avail.

Can anyone help me?

Have you tried just re-installing Office XP rather than trying to repair?
