Office XP SB Edition and Office Pro 2000

Dick

My new computer came with Office XP Small Business Edition. I still have the
Office Pro 2000 software from a previous computer. I had hoped to add just
PowerPoint 2000 as a stand alone but it reinstalls the whole Office Pro
suite and removes the Office XP. Is this normal?
Is there any way to add all of Office Pro 2000 without removing Office XP?
I appreciate any help or advice.

Hi Dick,

Choose the custom install on Office Professionl 2000
and then you can select the features you want to install.
In the 'feature tree' click on the top level 'sugar cube'
and set it to 'Not Avaialble' then drop down to Powerpoint
and set it to 'run from my computer. Also check the box
when first going into custom setup that tells it to leave
other versions.
