Office XP Service Pack 2

MS issued an alert about a possible viral attack that
could affect MS Office and requested users to download
the refernced service pack. This required having the
original install disks for the Dell factory installed
version of Office XP on my PC. After/during the
download/install process I was prompted to insert the
Office XP Small Business cd which I did. I got the error
message that the file OFFICE1.CAB was not found. I
searched for this file on the specified cd and it was not
found. Thus, the install of this service pack was
aborted. This service pack must be installed before other
recommended updates can be downloaded. How do I get
around this problem ?

Make sure your anti-virus program is disabled when you attempt to use
the Office cd. I have had experience with Norton causing cab and other
error messages when there really are no errors.

.Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll try that because I
did not disable my Symmantec anti-virus when I tried the
service pack update. From other postings, it looks as if
there are many problems updating these MS ser px
