Office XP Service Pack 3

I'm trying to install Office XP Service Pack 3 and am receiving the message
"installation unsuccessful". After looking at the MS troublshooting tips, I
still can't resolve it. Any thoughts?

I am encountering the exactly same problem and tried the solution under
article 839191, it doesn't work, any other ideas?

When I try to install this service pack, I get an error message that says,
"The expected version of the product was not found on your system." Why
would I get such a message when I do in fact have Office XP installed on my
system?
