My Office XP was recently updated with Service Pack 3 (via Automatic
Updates), and now I'm having major problems just getting Windows (XP) loaded.
The computer skips through the log-in page and goes directly to a page that
says "Windows Loading", but it will stay at the page forever (well, until I
unplug the computer from the power source). The ONLY way I can get around
this is, as soon as a cursor is seen (after the screen blacks-out
momentarily), I move the cursor down a little, guessing where the "OK" pop-up
button is (since I've gotten this computer it won't log me in automatically--
it tells me that I am not the administrator, though I've attempted to change
this without success), and then clicking the mouse incessently. IF the cursor
is placed in the right place, then I can log in and actually use my computer.
If not, then I have to unplug the computer and try again. I tried to
re-install the service pack, but it tells me that it's already installed.
HELP!!!!!!!!!
