Office XP Setup/50th launch

I have Office XP Small business. Now when I go to open up
an Excel or Word document, it requires me to enter my
Product Key, certificate of authenticity number. For
awhile this was working and after I entered the number I
could use the programs, but now after I enter the number,
the program closes and goes off the screen. When I go back
to start>programs>Excel or Word, it again opens up only to
bring up the box telling me I have to enter this number. I
enter it and it closes the program... UGH... HELP>>>

yes, but I have the discs that came with the computer, and
as I said, for a while, it worked by typing in the code,
now it shuts down the program.
