Office Xp setup just won't start

Hi,

I am trying to install office xp 2002 in my computer and i've had some
trouble. At first i got some dll errors, but then i was able to fix
that, now when i click on the setup.exe on the CD all i get is
"preparing to install..." and then that window goes away, but nothing
new comes up. I have tried clicking on the .MSI files directly and if i
click on OWX10.MSI (office web components) i have no trouble, but if i
click on PROPLUS.MSI i get the same thing i get if i click Setup.exe?

Any ideas why this would happen?

Thanks in advance for the help,

Dan

Hi again,

Now it seems that i have a diffrent problem, I have a copy of front
page 2003 so i tried installing that and had no trouble. Now when i go
to install office 2002\XP i get a memory error (the instuction at...
referenced...) if i click on the setup.exe file and if i click on the
PROPLUS.MSI file directly the installer starts and i get "Error 2211.
An internal error has occurred. ( Shortcut )"

Any ideas how i can fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

You may have a Virus/ Adware/ Spyware or some other form of malicious
software running on your machine.

Some reasons why software will not install:

Insufficient disc space (should be at least 25% free space).
Hard disc fragmented.
Paging file fragmented.
Temporary internet file cache near capacity.
Temp folder(s) near capacity.
Virus infection.
Registry corrupt.
Illegal version of Operating System installed.

Regards

Mike
